San Francisco, CA - July 25, 2003 - Following the April 2003 xTier™ 1.0 product launch, Fitech Laboratories, Inc. is proud to announce the immediate availability of xTier™ 1.0.2 - the high-performance J2EE and .NET Middleware Components that provides a comprehensive set of reusable, pre-built system services, including distributed caching, embedded workflow, and configuration management. xTier™ 1.0.2 significantly enhances the way enterprise software applications are built.

xTier™ 1.0.2 frees application development teams to understand and satisfy business needs by enabling them to develop high-value business applications within shortened development timeframes. By utilizing xTier™ 1.0.2 it is no longer necessary to spend time designing, building and maintaining a complex and expensive infrastructure-level code base in-house. xTier™ 1.0.2 based applications provide a fast ROI, positively impact the bottom-line and significantly reduce the TCO of today's heterogeneous applications.

This release of xTier™ incorporates developers' feedback as well as providing enhanced functionality and usability including MS CLR xLint that provides .NET developers with enhanced "exception handling". xLint's innovative Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) approach significantly improves error handling in .NET applications. Additionally, xTier™ 1.0.2 includes xStock, a "real world" application built using xTier™ 1.0.2.

xStock utilizes a J2EE back-end and provides client applications in both JSP and .NET. As a result, xStock not only highlights the ease with which applications can be built using xTier™ 1.0.2 in a homogeneous environment (J2EE/JSP) but additionally demonstrates the seamless combination and interoperation of the Java and .Net environments enabled by xTier™ 1.0.2.
