Ministry of Environment of Japan adopted Fitech's xTier™ for its CO2 Emissions Trading System "GHG-TRADE com".

San Francisco, CA - June 5, 2006

San Francisco , CA – June 5, 2006 – Fitech Laboratories Inc., announced today that Ministry of Environment of Japan adopted Fitech's xTier™ for its Emissions Trading System "GHG-TRADE com"

Fitech Laboratories, Inc. announces that its service library xTier™ for Java based distributed applications was adopted for carbon emissions trading system "GHG-TRADE.com" which supports gJapanfs Voluntary CO2 Emission Trading Schemeh promoted by the Ministry of Environment of Japan. xTier™ is a Java-based service libraries for distributed computing, especially for grid computing, which is to achieve high reliability, scalability and development productivity. "GHG-TRADE.com" will be introduced by our Partner, Mitsubishi Research Institut, Inc.

xTier™: Java service library for distributed computing

xTier™ is a collection of middleware components that can be reused at the infrastructure level, and as has 23 services that can be replace commonly used tedious programming code for distributed systems. Users can enhance development efficiency by choosing required service components. Moreover, because xTier/Grid provides grid infrastructure, xTier™ users who are planning to enter into on-line business where transaction volume may drastically increase, can reduce initial investment in infrastructure such as servers and shorten lead time necessary for the launch of the services.

This software product realizes Fitech's technologies that have been accumulated through projects with severe requirements of security brokerage companies, and with this product, average Java programmers can easily construct scalable distributed web system in any application where large volume of on-line transactions are processed. For example, xTier™ has been applied to PTS (Proprietary Trading System) of financial service industry. Consequently, "GHG-TRADE.com" was constructed in relatively short period.

What our customers say

Mr. Takashi Hashimoto of Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. which lead the development and operation of "GHG-TRADE.com" comments as follows:
"GHG-TRADE.com" was launched to support "Voluntary CO2 Emission Trading Scheme" promoted by Japanese Ministry of Environment aiming to form an OTC market among registered companies for the carbon emission trade. Therefore, the system was required to be flexible in accommodating the growth of enrolled companies as well as in functional expansion such as to introduce on-line settlement, and at the same time, to reduce initial investment. We chose Fietchfs xTire™ because it has required subsets and overwhelming scalability that can support small start and large expansion in the future.

Further, there was a strong recommendation of xTier™ by Mr. Murakami, Vice President of J Bond Securities Co., Ltd., a pioneer of on-line market of bonds in Japan, which served as consultant to this "GHG-TRADE.com" project. J Bond Securites Co., Ltd. is one of the customers of Fitech, and Mr. Murakami highly valued Fietchfs achievements in providing financial service systems and the performance of its software products.

xTier™ is a trademark or a registered trademark of Fitech Laboratories, Inc. in Japan, the United States and other countries.
